Si la vida te da limones, vende limonada. Esto es tan surrealista, que deberian hacer la película de la película de Fantastic Four con todos los contratiempos y la pesadilla que fue la producción y el rodaje. Puede que hasta recuperan la inversión de ambas películas, por que la historia es de no creerse.

Muchos dicen que estamos ante la CBM más caótica y catastrófica de todo este último tiempo. A mí se me ocurre comparar esto con La Liga de los Hombres Extraordinarios (que llegó a significar el retiro de Sean Connery), pero la verdad es que lo de Fantastic Four es aún peor.

En algunos sitios se llama a esto el Trankgate, pero viendo todo lo que pasó creo que hay mucha responsabilidad de la gente de Fox también. En sí es como si todo lo que pudiese salir mal, efectivamente salió mal. Incompetencias, mal ambiente de trabajo, re-escrituras del guión en medio del rodaje, cancelación del 3D por desviar el presupuesto para los reshoots... en fin.


Otra cosa que circula por ahí: La teoría del inside job ya les digo, todo esto es material para una película sobre la película o al menos unas miniseries.

Generalmente los que dicen esto y arman sus teorías son acusados de paranoicos fanáticos de la teoría de la conspiración; pero en sí las conclusiones a las que llegan son:

-Trank saboteó esto intencionalmente por orden de Marvel/Disney.
-Fox saboteó la película de Trank por alguna bizarra razón.
-Fox y Trank se traicionaron mutuamente sin un claro vencedor, por eso sucedió esto.
-Fox saboteó su propia película a propósito para manchar la imagen de Marvel.



Bueno, de hecho se cuenta que esta película batió varios récords, como ser la primera película basada en una franquicia de Marvel con recaudar tan poco en su primer día. Había más pero perdí ese post xD

The outline of the plot sounds nearly identical to the 2005 movie, with the exceptions of there being a flashback sequence at the beginning and a military battle sequence in the middle. The characters apparently do not gain their superpowers until halfway through the film.

Hay unos datos llamativos en el final:

Andan diciendo por ahí que esto sin duda tenía que ser indicador de lo que se iba a venir, porque citan como ejemplos a otras películas de este estilo cuyos reviews son publicados hasta una semana antes del estreno. Se ve que de los críticos presentes nadie tenía nada bueno que decir


En algunos sitios se llama a esto el Trankgate, pero viendo todo lo que pasó creo que hay mucha responsabilidad de la gente de Fox también. En sí es como si todo lo que pudiese salir mal, efectivamente salió mal. Incompetencias, mal ambiente de trabajo, re-escrituras del guión en medio del rodaje, cancelación del 3D por desviar el presupuesto para los reshoots... en fin.


Otra cosa que circula por ahí: La teoría del inside job ya les digo, todo esto es material para una película sobre la película o al menos unas miniseries.

Generalmente los que dicen esto y arman sus teorías son acusados de paranoicos fanáticos de la teoría de la conspiración; pero en sí las conclusiones a las que llegan son:

-Trank saboteó esto intencionalmente por orden de Marvel/Disney.
-Fox saboteó la película de Trank por alguna bizarra razón.
-Fox y Trank se traicionaron mutuamente sin un claro vencedor, por eso sucedió esto.
-Fox saboteó su propia película a propósito para manchar la imagen de Marvel.



Bueno, de hecho se cuenta que esta película batió varios récords, como ser la primera película basada en una franquicia de Marvel con recaudar tan poco en su primer día. Había más pero perdí ese post xD

Otra anécdota para sumar a todo este colosal desastre, esta vez un poco más triste... si así puede ser xD

On Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Michael, Mara explained that the cast was not met with the most welcome arms at San Diego Comic Con last month,

"We spent a whole day there, sort of working and doing press, and you don't really get to meet the fans. So the next morning, Jamie Bell and I decided, 'Well, we want the experience of Comic-Con. So let's just go out, let's walk to get a coffee amongst all of the fans,'"

Initially, Mara and the cast thought this would be a bad idea, but after the fact, the cast (jokingly) realized that nobody even noticed,

"And we were like, 'Well, maybe this is a bad idea. We'll get mobbed and it'll be crazy,' and not one person...not one person noticed us," she said, laughing.

Quiero rescatar el mensaje de Lord Dracon porque me parece que tiene bastante razón. Creo que aunque TASM 2 fue un desastre, la gente dentro de todo aprecia al personaje y muchos celebraron el pase a manos de Marvel/Disney, y tienen forma de manejarlo.

Pero esto de Fantastic Four es una catástrofe a la que nadie quiere quedarse pegado. Imagínense, este es el tercer reboot de una franquicia que no dio ni una película memorable. Porque respecto a Spiderman, al menos mucha gente rescata las dos primeras como buenos trabajos de Raimi.

Fantastic Four es una papa caliente en este momento. Creo que si llega a darse el caso de que Fox ceda, Marvel/Disney archivará esto hasta terminar la Fase 3.

Que si vamos al caso, vean el punteo de eventos listado más arriba: Marvel/Disney ofreció a Fox extender su control de Daredevil a cambio de que les pasen personajes como Galactus, vamos del orden cósmico. Fox se negó. ¿Qué pasa en el 2015? Marvel/Disney junto a Netflix sacan Daredevil que es un puto éxito alabado por todo el mundo, y Fox saca uno de los desastres más grandes en lo que a CBMs se refiere. Srsly...

Todo este asunto de Marvel/Disney, Fox y Sony con sus disputas por licencias y los fans puteándose como barrabravas espero que sea material de algún documental en el futuro xD

Estaba leyendo un poco más en algunos foros, se supone que el presupuesto en sí de esta película fue de 122 millones de dólares. Ahora bien, desconocemos el presupuesto destinado a marketing/publicidad.
Corre por ahí que en los meses de silencio los productores opinaron que la película era impresentable. De hecho se le escapó a uno vía Bleeding Cool que la película "era un desastre".

Algunos creen que parte del presupuesto de marketing fue desviado para los reshoots que duraron más de lo estipulado. Ni hablar del esfuerzo de post-producción que significó esto, por lo que también se dice que la conversión a 3D fue sacrificada en esta instancia. La perla, que Trank no participó de esta etapa y todo corrió por cuenta de Matthew Vaughn, Simon Kinberg y gente de X-Men: Apocalypse que fue convocada para echar una mano y salvar la película.

En fin, una auténtica pesadilla xD recuerdo cuando se filtró una imagen del ridículo Von Doom en el set y un tipo comentó "bueno, con esto en el set no lo culparía a Trank si llega drogado" xDDD

Leer los comentarios en diversos foros y reviews sobre la película es como ver en vivo una matanza de niveles apocalípticos provocadada por un fanático de Charles Manson y que este esté atrincherado amenazando de muerte a varios recién nacidos.

En una nota adicional, ayer Trank twiteó que él tuvo una idea genial que hubiese exitosa pero el estudio se la cagó. Y lo borró luego. Pero dicen que con eso cometió el suicidio de su carrera xD aunque teniendo en cuenta que lo sacaron de Star Wars, yo creo que se vuelve a las películas independientes.


El asunto viene atroz. Sí, para Fox queda X-Men Apocalypse y Deadpool... ¡pero no olvides Gambit! No sé por qué creo que la sorpresa del 2016 puede estar entre Gambit y Doctor Strange xD

Las expectativas de Fox eran alcanzar los 50 millones, que dentro de todo está en el rango que alcanzaron FF (2005) y la de Silver Surfer en sus respectivos estrenos.
Hasta ahora se saca en limpio que la recaudación del viernes (incluidas las funciones de tarde-noche del jueves) fue de unos 11 millones.

Los pronósticos de sitios web y usuarios es que la película tendrá dificultades para llegar a los 30 millones este fin de semana.

Encima con la desfachatez de que la película es un fracaso internacionalmente. Tras abrir en 43 mercados (incluidos Brasil e Inglaterra), sólo ha recaudado 34.1 millones; sumados a los 26 que hizo en EEUU....

Por si fuera poco, esa recaudación tan escasa en EEUU hizo que se colocara en segundo puesto en su fin de semana de estreno. Con esto, Mission Impossible 5: Rogue Nation quedó 1era por segundo finde consecutivo en EEUU.


El fracaso de esta película es de dimensiones catastróficas. En Rotten Tomatoes la calificación positiva ya bajó a 8%

En fin, como dijo alguien: Esto es lo que pasa cuando enfureces a la fanbase xD fracaso titánico. Pobre Jordan, que en un tono soberbio dijo que los "haters" irían a verla de todos modos... desde hace más de 24hs le están twiteando esa frase sin perdón alguno y mofándose xDD

La incógnita es qué pasó realmente. Porque antes de los re-shoots corrió por ahí que algunos ejecutivos dijeron que la película era "un desastre", y todo eso tuvo lugar en la época donde se decía que Trank a veces no iba al set, o que llegaba drogado, que se peleaba, rompía cosas, etc. O sea en medio de un clima laboral pésimo y con otros tipos que de todas formas 'dirigían' y metían mano.

Habría que ver qué resultó de eso.

Aviso, spoilers abiertos. De todas formas no hay mucho que spoilear.

La película es una puta mierda. Las críticas no exageran cuando la comparan con joyitas como Catwoman, Daredevil y Batman & Robin.

Vamos por partes. A los defensores (sí, los hay) les gusta decir que la primera mitad "está buena" y que es en la segunda mitad cuando la cosa se viene abajo. Pues no, no es así. Las polladas empiezan desde el minuto 1, con actores pedorrísimos (los que hacen de Reed y Ben en la escuela actúan como niños recogidos de la calle), diálogos estúpidos, comportamiento totalmente incomprensible y sin sentido, y un ritmo super lento y aburrido. En los primeros 40 minutos no pasa ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA, y la mayoría de estas escenas simplemente son tomas inconexas de nuestros personajes trabajando en su laboratorio con música épica de fondo para dar la ilusión de que algo está ocurriendo.

Ninguno de los actores hace lo que llamaría un buen trabajo. Durante la primera mitad hacen lo que pueden con el diálogo pedorro, pero en la segunda mitad se nota un huevo que les dejó de importar y solo estaban allí por su cheque. Miles Teller en particular da una actuación de pena, en especial en la batalla final, pero no nos adelantemos.

Después de tres horas de escenas largas e interminables, nuestros intrépidos héroes por fin entran al portal de los cojones y es entonces cuando la película se sale completamente de los carriles, se estrella en una ciudad llena de niños pobres y de mujeres embarazadas, explota en una explosión nuclear (el tren cargaba cabezas nucleares), y deja el área del siniestro completamente destruida e infértil por decenas de generaciones. Las escenas en la zona negativa son dignas de las mejores películas de Syfy como Sharknado, tanto en efectos especiales como en actuaciones, tensión y emoción. La supuesta muerte de Victor Von Doom al inicio es risible, y las carcajadas continúan cuando vemos cómo es que los 4 fantásticos obtienen sus poderes (qué bueno que no había nadie en la sala más que mis amigos y yo, ya que nos habrían corrido por el griterío que estábamos armando).

Una vez que esta hilarante escena finaliza, uno esperaría que a continuación nos mostraran cómo es que nuestros héroes lidian con sus nuevos poderes, cómo aprenden a usarlos con eficiencia (no sé, quizás una escena de acción con un edificio incendiandose o un desastre en un puente, ALGO) y se preparan para la amenaza del villano de turno. Todo esto mientras la audiencia se identifica con sus problemas y se encariña con sus personalidades. ¿No?
Pues comes polla si esperas eso, porque no es así. En una de las decisiones cinematográficas más estúpidas, inexplicables y desconcertantes que he visto recientemente, los escritores deciden brincarse UN PUTO AÑO en el futuro. No vemos ABSOLUTAMENTE NADA de lo que describí en el párrafo anterior, en su lugar brincamos hacia adelante en el tiempo y nuestros fantásticos héroes ya saben cómo usar sus poderes. Nada de desarrollo de personajes, nada de química, nada de nada.

Pero bueno, si decidieron saltarse un trozo tan importante de la historia es porque de seguro tienen algo grande planeado que necesita el resto del metraje (aun y cuando la película dura una hora menos que la película de superhéroes moderna promedio)...... ¿Verdad? PUES NO. Le siguen todavía MÁS escenas insufribles y aburridas hasta que finalmente, cuando le quedan 15 putos minutos a la película, Doom decide regresar de la zona negativa y destruir al mundo... por alguna razón.

Hablemos de Doom por un momento. Este es uno de los intentos más risibles de villano que he visto en mucho tiempo. Si creen que los villanos de Marvel son malos, esperen a ver esta puta abominación. La comparación con Ultron se me hace risible. Sí, Ultron pudo haber sido mucho más, pero al menos el robot tiene una motivación clara y una presencia de verdad en la trama (por muy mejorables y risibles que sean).
Doom aparece en los últimos diez minutos sin una verdadera motivación. Odia al mundo solo porque sí. Y sus poderes nunca son verdaderamente explicados. Si es capaz de volarle la cabeza a toda persona que se le atraviesan, ¿por qué no lo hace con los 4 fantásticos cuando los tiene enfrente? ¿Porque son los héroes principales? Hurr.
No ayuda que su diseño sea una puta diarrea y la escena antes mencionada donde escapa del hospital masacrando a todos explotándoles la cabeza (sin censura, gore de verdad) está demasiado fuera de lugar. Esta es una película de superhéroes de Marvel, no una película de terror de David Cronenberg.

Y finalmente llegamos a la épica batalla final de la película.
Es la cosa más chafa, barata, anticlimática y aburrida que existe. Doom se sube a una plataforma, cada uno ataca por separado, Doom los hace caca, Reed suelta un discurso genérico de "podemos vencerlo unidos blehblehbleh", todos usan sus poderes juntos de una manera pendeja (la cual solo funciona porque Doom actúa como pendejo en esta escena), Doom muere, los 4 fantásticos escapan en último momento y fin.
Dura no más de cinco minutos, y es junto a la primera vez que cruzan el portal las únicas dos escenas de acción de la película. 15 MINUTOS DE ACCIÓN EN UNA PELÍCULA DE 1 HORA 40 MINUTOS.

Las escenas finales son caca, como el resto de la película. Dan pie a una secuela (levante la mano el que en verdad quiera una segunda parte de esta porquería), y la escena final, donde Reed le pone nombre a los 4 Fantásticos, trata de imitar el humor de Marvel pero sin el ingenio y el carisma de los actores de los Vengadores.

Y así termina uno de los mayores desastres que ha visto el cine de superhéroes desde su concepción. Una puta bazofia insufrible, estúpida, y lo peor de todo, aburrida. Espero que con esto Fox haya aprendido la lección y los derechos se regresen a Marvel. No es que odie a Fox, han hecho un buen trabajo con la serie de X-Men (al menos últimamente), pero una cosa es eso y otra cosa es una película hecha por compromiso como 4F, que desde los inicios de su pre-producción ya olía mal.

Ahora a ver si en serio tienen el descaro de hacer una secuela.

Algunos apuntes extras para terminar:
-Menudo lol la peluca de Kate Mara. Parece estropajo.
-¿Por qué mierda La Mole no lleva pantalones?
-Casi no hablé de ello en la reseña pero el CGI es realmente risible. Los efectos del Sr. Fantástico son dignos de la película de Jessica Alba.
